Our programs & services

DHF-Kenya has projects in Kenya and Uganda. In Kenya, we run a sports for youth project that brings together young people (boys and girls) in sports competitions periodically as a way of mitigating youth involvement in crime related activities. We also do regular food donations to vulnerable families. In Homa Bay County, DHF is involved in surface water protection and rehabilitation, and sand mine rehabilitation using afforestation. We also support Entrepreneurship through MSMEs targeting young women and widows and engaging young girls and boys in sports to help move them away from sand mining and fish for sex activities rampant along the shores of L. Victoria. DHF is targeting vulnerable communities in Seme, Kisumu County for clean water provision and supporting the education of vulnerable children.

Core beneficiaries

The Children –Abandoned, poor, orphaned and vulnerable
children, who may not have hope apart from our assistance and intervention in their lives. By changing their stories, we are changing their world and ours.
The Families – The basic unit of any society, and the endurance of our culture and values. Affected families may be restored from the depression of poverty and conflict.

Water & Sanitation

Damien’s Hope Foundation in the service to the community recognises the huge water pandemic in prevalent in most parts of Kenya. Two of the highlighted and projected locations for a possible implementation and rollout of the programme are Karachuonyo Constituency in Homabay County and Muhoroni Constituency in Kisumu County. These locations are based on baseline surveys and observation on the prevalence of the same in the mentioned locations.

In partnership with the local women groups, local churches and the administration, Damien’s Hope Foundation seeks partnerships with local and international like minded organisations in the roll-out of a comprehensive water and sanitation program in the mentioned areas and beyond depending on availability of funds.

It is worth noting that with the availability of clean water in the community, diseases are kept at bay and this remains a focal point for Damien’s Hope Foundation.
